All the members of the deaf club have been working hard
towards meeting the deadlines for our events that will
be coming off shortly.
Margaret Curran MP for Parliamentary Affairs will be visiting
us at Youth Connections on Wednesday the 9th of August
between 11.30-1.00pm. We will be giving a presentation
to her and hopefully get our message across on the barriers
that deaf young people
face everyday.
Jennifer McGhee from Dialogue Youth will also be bringing
a group from Barnardos.
We also have been polishing up on our presentation skills
for receiving our BT Awards for recognition
of our work to raise awareness. We also made a DVD on The UN
Convention of
Children's Rights and you can check it out on our website.
We should receive our awards sometime
